四川民间曲艺品种。演唱者手执法厢棍，配以简单的舞蹈动作说唱故事，一人唱、众人和，即清初民间流行的“霸王鞭”，因其所持舞具为竹棍，故又称“钱棍”、“花棍”。连厢棍是唯一的伴奏乐器及舞具，长约80厘米~90厘米，径约2厘米。两端各错落挖孔3个~4个，每孔嵌铜钱2枚，摇动时发出“哗哗”的铿锵声。60年代后，四川连厢逐渐在曲艺舞台上消失，但作为群众喜爱的集体表演活动却一直活跃在四川民间。
The performers talk and sing stories accompanied by a special stick. The stick is 80-90 centimeters in length and 2 centimeters in diameter. On both ends of the stick, some 3-4 holes are cut with two coins embedding into each hole. When shake the stick, coins give off clear sound. This coin stick is the only accompaniment instrument and prop in Sichuan Lianxiang. After 1960s, Sichuan Lianxiang died out on the formal stage but it’s still popular among ordinary people as a popular folk collective activity. |
